Event description
Ready to launch your business but not sure where to start? This two-part series is designed for aspiring entrepreneurs ready to take the next step toward starting their own business.
In the first session, you'll learn the fundamentals of business formation, including how to choose the right legal entity for your goals — sole proprietorship, LLC, partnership, or corporation — and how to file. We'll also cover registering a business name and filing a DBA, obtaining an EIN, appointing a registered agent, selecting a name and conducting a trademark search, state and local licensing requirements, the basics of bookkeeping, and other important startup considerations. The instructor will walk you through the process and provide a practical checklist to help you get started with confidence.
The second session, held the following week, offers an opportunity for one-on-one support through drop-in consultations with the instructor.
How the one-on-one session works: Individual consultations are 15 minutes each and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants will enter a virtual waiting room until their turn. You may join at any time during the session hours—there is no need to log in at the start.
When: Wednesdays, 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM
Where: Online (Zoom details provided upon registration)
Space is limited to ensure personalized support and meaningful interaction.
