Event description
The Department of Defense's Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) is rolling out through every new DoD contract, and it flows down from prime contractors to the small businesses that supply them. Beginning November 10, 2026, outside assessments become a standard condition of award for contracts involving controlled information, and primes are already choosing suppliers based on readiness. This session is built for small business owners and subcontractors, not IT professionals. In plain language, it covers: what CMMC is and why it exists; the one question that decides which level applies to you; the rollout timeline and why your real deadline is your next contract, not a government date; what compliance actually costs a small business and the decisions that bring the number down; the free, DoD-funded resources available before you spend a dollar; and a practical 90-day starting plan. Every attendee receives a one-page readiness checklist to take back to their business. Presented by Tailored Compliance Solutions, a Beavercreek, Ohio compliance advisory firm serving small businesses in the defense supply chain.
