If you hire employees, you need to secure information for the mandatory records and forms you must complete. Visit the Hiring Employees page on and search for Form W-4 - Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate.

The Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 requires all employers to report newly hired and re-hired employees to a state directory within 20 days of their hire or rehire date.
