503 & 400 dorm road repair
Description
1. Repairment of 503/400 Dorm Road repair at the Earle C. Clements Job Corps Center.
Contractor to provide:
2.1 Site Preparation
Inspect existing paved or gravel surface and subgrade conditions.
Remove loose debris and unsuitable surface material.
Perform minor grading to promote proper drainage and surface uniformity.
Proof-roll surface if necessary to identify unstable areas.
2.2 Asphalt Installation
Furnish and install hot mix asphalt (HMA).
Place asphalt to achieve an average compacted thickness of 3½ inches.
Mechanically compact asphalt to meet industry compaction standards.
Provide smooth, even finished surface free from segregation or depressions.
2.3 Traffic Control & Site Safety
Provide necessary traffic control during operations.
Install temporary barricades or caution tape to prevent access to newly paved surface.
Maintain compliance with OSHA safety standards at all times.
2.4 Clean-Up:
Removal of Excess Chips: Sweep away any loose aggregate chips after the application to ensure a clean, smooth finish.
Final Inspection: Conduct a final inspection to ensure that the driveway has been properly sealed and that there are no issues with drainage or surface quality.
3. DAVIS-BACON / FEDERAL LABOR STANDARDS
This project is subject to the Davis–Bacon Act, as amended.
The Contractor and all subcontractors shall comply with wage determinations issued by the U.S. Department of Labor applicable to Union County, Kentucky, under the appropriate construction classification (Heavy or Highway Construction).
