Boiler Replacement/Install

The project replaces the failed Ajax WGFD 2500 boiler in Building 2 – Hangar/Vocations with two new 2,000 MBH high efficiency condensing boilers. Work includes removal and off site disposal of the existing boiler, flue piping, air separator, and chemical pot feeder. Contractors must obtain all permits, coordinate inspections, and meet OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and Ohio requirements. New boilers will be installed on the existing concrete pad with required clearances and connected to new CPVC venting, supply/return piping, valves, strainers, expansion tank, pot feeder, air separator, circulators, gas piping, condensate drainage, and insulation. Electrical work includes dedicated circuits, disconnects, emergency shutoff, and NEC compliant wiring. Each boiler requires Category IV venting, separate intake/exhaust, proper roof/wall penetrations, and gas utility coordination. Controls include cascade operation, outdoor reset, safety limits, and staff training. Contractor must perform startup, testing, balancing, and full commissioning, restore all disturbed areas, maintain cleanliness, coordinate schedules, protect existing conditions, and provide required warranties and documentation
