LANDSCAPING SERVICES

MTC is soliciting bids for grass mowing services as outlined in the attached scope of work. The contractor shall provide grass mowing services for approximately 4.48 acres at the New Orleans Job Corps Center and shall furnish all equipment, fuel, and supplies necessary to perform the required services. Services shall be performed during center operating hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Tree trimming and miscellaneous landscaping services will be performed on an as-needed basis upon request from the Facility Maintenance Manager or Supervisor. Grass mowing shall not occur during rain or muddy conditions as determined by the Facility Maintenance Manager or Supervisor. The contractor shall provide proof of insurance and ensure all subcontractors maintain required coverage in accordance with contract terms and conditions until obligations are fulfilled. Required coverage includes Worker’s Compensation insurance in compliance with state and federal requirements with employer liability limits of not less than $500,000, General Liability insurance with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $3,000,000 aggregate, naming MTC as additional insured, and where applicable, Comprehensive Business Automobile Liability insurance with a combined single limit of $1,000,000 and Professional Liability insurance with limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $3,000,000 aggregate. Upon request, the contractor shall provide certificates of insurance verifying required coverage. If General Liability insurance is not available, the contractor must submit written confirmation from the carrier. Failure to obtain and maintain required insurance or provide proof within required timeframes shall constitute a material breach of contract. Policies must include a minimum thirty (30) day written notice of cancellation or material change.
