NIS does business as a defense, information, and intelligence firm with an emphasis on federal government work- particularly in support of the Department of Defense, intelligence community, and state and local governments. With more than 20 years of experience in both military and geospatial intelligence, Eric Nelson is a Dumas, Arkansas native, a decorated Marine veteran and the President of Nelson Intelligence Solutions. Like many other businesses, Eric received pandemic funding from the SBA in the form of a forgivable Paycheck Protection Program loan but more recently received funding through the SBA’s 504 program. These loan funds went towards purchasing and renovating a new building located in Little Rock. During the SBA 504 loan process, the business had 17 full-time employees and 4 part-time and have already grown their team to 26 employees. With the recent location change that was made possible by the SBA 504 loan, the business is expected to hire even more employees and increase revenues.
