Megan Searfoss, President & CEO, CT RUN CO., Keeping Connecticut Moving Forward

Megan Searfoss is an entrepreneur, author, runner, and community advocate dedicated to expanding the gift of running to everyone. She founded Ridgefield Running, a run-specialty retailer, 12 years ago right in the heart of Ridgefield and expanded to three locations: Brookfield, Darien and Ridgefield with 37 employees.

Through CT RUN Co., Megan has built more than a business—she has created welcoming spaces that foster wellness, connection, and community. She continues to pace the way forward by creating jobs, donating shoes to Bridgeport athletes, and mentoring young adults, all while growing her business to three locations. Megan keeps Connecticut moving forward—stronger, healthier, and more connected with every mile.

Megan has used SBA’s resource partners during her entrepreneurship journey including business advising though the Western CT Chapter of SCORE mentors. During the COVID-19 pandemic she received SBA’s Paycheck Protection Program loans and an Economic Injury Disaster Loan that helped her keep her business afloat. 

Megan’s passion to encourage others to unplug and move outside is the ethos of her business. She believes that movement is essential for well-being. Her stores promote wellness and connection for all. Megan dedicates a large portion of her time to local non-profits and creates races and events that bring awareness and funds to these organizations. Megan is here for the Long Run!
