SBA 8(a) Certification fuels tech staffing company's growth

Bestica employees

Bestica provides specialized recruiting for senior user design and user experience professionals, primarily for private sector companies. In an effort to expand the company's reach with regional clients, it began doing technology staffing for the DOD.

Initially, winning the business was a challenge. However, once Bestica understood its market, and the needs of the Department of Defense, challenges were mostly in execution of the contracts. Nevertheless, Bestica overcame that challenge by hiring the right people, creating policies and procedures to serve clients, and exceeding their expectations.

There was also a constant need to adapt to the growing needs of the business, rethink their strategy, and become more adept in the ever-changing market, which they did by continually talking to their employees on the ground and with customers.

From the President/Owner

SBA has been highly instrumental in our success by providing us a guidance and support structure to understand the complexity of the government contracting world. My most significant growth started after I was admitted to the 8(a) program. That enabled me to obtain invaluable insight into the Department of Defense business in San Antonio. In addition, I got several direct awards due to my incessant marketing and becoming a trustworthy partner to several contracting offices. Soon after, I also entered the SBA Mentor-Protégé program with a San Antonio-based company, Decypher Technologies, which helped me win some business and organization building. In addition, I was able to hire and retain a very talented and motivated team who consistently took us to a new height every year.
