TJ Noel Sullivan – Hartford Film Company, bringing the Midas Touch to Film

TJ Noel-Sullivan is an inspiring young entrepreneur where at just 25, he wrote, directed, and produced an acclaimed film Midas – just amazing! The Hartford Film Company was founded with the intention of bringing the highest standards in film production to the east coast. Building artistic creativity, innovation and education to form a full-service production company that continues to grow and gain momentum. 

As the founder of Hartford Film Company TJ and his team tell powerful stories on screen and behind the scenes that elevate his clients, his community, and the State of Connecticut. Recognizing the important role and video can play in changing a narrative. Frame by frame, TJ helps Connecticut take center stage by creating jobs – growing from 1 to 6 employees, growing the business – doubling revenue in 2024 and again in 2025. 

As a first-time entrepreneur TJ sought business advice from the CT Small Business Development Center  on accessing capital, hiring, strategic planning and cash flow management.  The CTSBDC helped connect TJ with resource including legal assistance, payroll providers, and forming new business networks as well as small business loans and grants. 

TJ’s drive, creativity, and optimism represent the very best of small business. This entrepreneurial script is just getting started. TJ Noel Sullivan is shaping Connecticut’s creative economy in a meaningful way; it is for these reasons and much more that he is SBA’s 2026 Connecticut Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
