MONDAY: SBA Administrator Joins Congresswomen Frederica Wilson & Maria Salazar in the Miami area to Highlight Government Contracting Opportunities and Hear from Local Small Business Owners

MIAMI, Fl. – On Monday, March 21, Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman, head of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the voice for America’s 32.5 million small businesses in President Biden’s Cabinet, will visit the Miami area to meet with small business owners and SBA resource partners. She will be joined by Representatives Wilson and Salazar as they host small business roundtables.

In addition to the roundtables, Administrator Guzman will visit and tour local small businesses and a small manufacturer to listen to their stories and their needs as they move beyond the challenges that arose from the pandemic. She will also highlight the progress made by the SBA in her first year as Administrator, as well as upcoming opportunities for small businesses resulting from President Biden’s Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and Made in America plan.

In addition to Representatives Wilson and Salazar, Administrator Guzman will be joined by SBA Associate Administrator for Government Contracting & Business Development, Bibi Hidalgo, SBA Southeast Regional Administrator Allen Thomas, and SBA Florida District Director Jon “Malcolm” Richards.

This visit marks the Administrator’s first official visit to Miami, FL. In her first year in office, Administrator Guzman has visited 27 states and U.S. territories, including Puerto Rico, and over 42 cities.
