THURSDAY: BIDEN CABINET MEMBER TO VISIT FLAGSTAFF

SBA Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman will be joined by Senator Mark Kelly to meet with local entrepreneurs and highlight federal disaster relief resources available to small businesse

FLAGSTAFF, Az. – On Thursday, May 25, SBA Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman, the voice in President Biden’s Cabinet for America’s 33.2 million small businesses, will visit Flagstaff to meet with local entrepreneurs and discuss the SBA and federal government’s disaster assistance programs.

Administrator Guzman will be joined by Arizona Senator Mark Kelly for a closed-door roundtable with local small business owners, followed by a tour of the Coconino County Flood Control District’s post-fire flood mitigation project, under construction in the Schultz/Pipeline Flood Area. The purpose of the tour is to highlight current disaster assistance resources available to impacted small businesses and community members and discuss how the SBA and Congress can work together to continue improving its disaster response and mitigation efforts in the face of increasingly volatile climatological threats.

The tour is closed to the public, but media outlets are invited to attend.
